TEACHING & MASTER CLASSES

SONGWRITING & PIANO

Jeff teaches piano and songwriting privately, both in person and via videoconference throughout the world. He has been teaching for 6 years for The Songwriting Academy UK

He says, "I've been conducting songwriter workshops in Houston, TX for 7 years, and holding master classes at my alumni CalArts for the last 6 years.

My focus is developing one's individual voice through learning the craft of songwriting. When teaching piano I help the student to develop chord structure and scales, as well as the basic tools of learning how to improvise piano. I look at music as a language and the more knowledge one has the more they can express themselves. [read more]
